After months of research I finally contacted South America Tours to organise a once in a lifetime trip to Peru. Still undecided I liaised with Nicolas who produced itinerary after itinerary before I was finally satisfied, it was itinerary number 6. Nicolas promised me a trip that would leave everlasting memories but as time went by and I made my last payment I was still unsure. Nicolas assured me I would be treated like a Queen and true to his word that is just what happened. At every destination we were greeted with a large board clearly displaying our name our English speaking guide then became our special friend for the next couple of days.

The Incas and Manchu Picchu were always going to be the highlight of our trip and we were simply overwhelmed. Our guide, with Inca heritage was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer every question we asked. He also became our photographer and stopped constantly to take advantage of all the perfect spots. Machu Picchu was everything and more than we could ever have imagined. Cusco was an amazing city, The Sacred Valley was breathtaking, the floating islands of Uros were incredible, Lake Titicaca was stunning, and The Amazon was extraordinary. We are extremely grateful to Nico and South America Tours for showing us the highlights of Peru in such a personalised and memorable way and this is one bucket list we can happily tick off. . . .
