We (3 couples) have just returned from our 32 day South America highlights holiday and we would like to say a big THANK-YOU to Nico and Paula for arranging such an amazing trip. Before we went we received all the necessary background information about all 6 countries we were to visit which was very helpful. The majority of the hotels were boutique-style with very friendly staff, great rooms and excellent breakfasts. Even when we had an early morning departure for the airport, before breakfast was served, they catered for us. Everything worked like clockwork – transfers, comfort of vehicles, itinerary, friendly informative guides and the extras, such as lunches at a winery in Chile and Sun Island on Lake Titicaca were very well organised and enjoyable.

We weren’t looking forward to our 10 hour bus ride from Cuzco to Lake Titicaca but the coach was so luxurious and comfortable we didn’t want to get off!!! The holiday was full of highlights but the ones that stand out most would be The Iguassu Falls which seeing both Argentina and Brazilian sides were beyond magnificent and the incredible Machu Picchu of course. We would just like to give one word of caution if visiting The Galapagos Islands. We did not realise that the islands are so far apart and we experienced some very lively night voyages (6-8 hours of “Rocking and Rolling”!!!). Having said that it was wonderful to be able to be so close to the wildlife, with one of our members who suffers from Bird Phobia being able to visit each island and not feel threatened. The snorkelling was excellent and is recommended.
