This great 4 Days adventure onboard Amazon River Cruise La Perla gives us a chance to get a real feeling for life in Amazonia as we explore the wonderful Amazon and Pacaya Samiria National Reserve.
ITINERARY IN BRIEF:

WEDNESDAY: Iquitos - Nauta - Amazon River
Airport pick-up and boarding. You will be picked up by our team and transfered by bus to our private port in Nauta, where the boarding will take place.
Begin navigating and the explanation of the history of the origin of theAmazon. While La Perla begins its tour of the Marañón River, our naturalist guides will explain the history of the origin of the Amazon River as you gaze at the panoramic view of the river that our deck offers.
First lunch on board. We will enjoy the first dining experience on board
First informative talk. Our guides will meet with you where they will explain the particularities of the trip and the places that are going to be visited.
Visit to the Pacaya Samiria reserve to observe the Charapa Turtles. We will enter the Samiria Reserve, where we can admire the characteristics of the Charapa Turtles.
Night excursion in search of wildlife. At nightfall we will embark again on the search for nocturnal species that inhabit the waters of the Amazon and its surroundings.
Meeting with the guides. Back on board we will have a small meeting in which we will share our experiences during the day.
Welcome dinner and live show. The first dinner on board will be an experience for the palate, combining the freshest food from the Amazon rainforest. After dinner, we will enjoy a concert performed by the boat band. -
Pacaya Samiria National Reserve - San Regis
Picnic in the Yanayacu basin of Pucate. We will start our day with the search for a good place inside the Pacaya Samiria Reserve where we enjoy our picnic breakfast surrounded by nature. During breakfast we can admire the pink dolphins, as well as blue and yellow macaws, toucans, monkeys sakis and more.
Lunch on board La Perla. We will return aboard to enjoy a full lunch as we head towards the San Regis community.
Ceremony with shamans. The shamans will make us part of their ceremonies by showing us the traditions of the Amazonian cultures. We will also perform the tree planting ceremony, in which each traveler can leave his mark on the Amazon landscape by planting his own tree.
Return to La Perla and dinner on board with live music. Back on La Perla we will enjoy a delicious dinner accompanied by live music.
Night excursion by boat through the ̈jungle of mirrors ̈. We will sail by boat through the waters of Nauta Caño, inside the Reserva Pacaya Samiria, discovering the lagoons of black water on which the treetops are reflected. -
San Jose de Zarapanga Shiriyucu - Nauta
Breakfast on board. After waking up a little later than in previous days, we will enjoy breakfast on board.
Fishing for piranhas. We will go fishing for piranhas in the black water stream of San José de Zarapanga called Shiriyacu, using the equipment and local techniques for fishing.
Lunch on board La Perla. We will recharge our batteries with a full lunch onboard.
Visit to the Kukama Prado indigenous village and culinary demonstration.We will learn about ancient traditions and traditional medicine. We will also see how the inhabitants of this village live and we will discover some secrets about their culinary tranditions.
Boat excursion. We will enjoy a boat trip to observe the colors of the sunset over the Amazon. We will wait until night to listen to the sounds emitted by the jungle after sunset.
Farewell dinner on board and the presentation of the crew. We will finish the day with a delicious dinner on board and the presentation of the crew, while the cruise ship is heading to the city of Nauta. -
Nauta - Iquitos
Breakfast on board. Enjoy a full breakfast on board.
Check-out and departure to the airport. After breakfast, we will check out and we will travel to Iquitos by bus.
Visit to the Amazon Manatee Rescue Center. We will stop at the Amazon Manatee Rescue Center, where we will see these beautiful animals close-up.
Visit to the city of Iquitos. We will enjoy a brief tour of the city, discovering the highlights of the rubber boom era, such as the Iron House or the Belen Market.
Arrival at the airport and return flight.
